The Neta S Wagon, the latest addition to Hozon Auto’s Neta lineup, signifies a substantial advancement in the company’s electric vehicle strategy. Developed under the Met brain, this innovative model has officially gone on sale in China, with a starting price of 175,000 Yuan, approximately $24,500. Sales of the Neta S Wagon began this month, with the first deliveries anticipated in September, further solidifying Neta’s commitment to expanding its range of new energy vehicles.
Since its inception in 2018, Hozon Auto has positioned Neta as a mainstream electric vehicle brand, making significant strides in the market with a variety of models, including the A, X, and L crossovers, the S sedan, and the GT2. The Neta S Wagon, introduced on August 13th, is the sixth model in the brand’s evolving product strategy and is available in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended range electric vehicle (EREV) variants.

The Neta S Wagon, officially named “Neta Yishang” in China—translated as “hunting outfit”—is known for its practical yet stylish design. Built on the Shanghai 2.0 modular architecture, the vehicle boasts sleek lines and a sporty demeanor. Key exterior features include a distinctive front end with integrated headlights, thin taillight units, trapezoidal air intake, flush door handles, tinted rear windows, a sporty spoiler, and a single taillight unit. The vehicle’s dimensions—4,980 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,980 mm—offer a spacious interior and commanding road presence.

Inside, the Neta S Wagon continues the theme of sophistication and advanced technology. A massive 17.6-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen serves as the central hub for infotainment and control systems, while a large 49-inch head-up display provides critical information within the driver’s line of sight. The interior is further enhanced with luxurious amenities such as heated, ventilated, and massaging seats, a 6.5-liter refrigerator, and a premium sound system, ensuring comfort and convenience.
The technological backbone of the Neta S Wagon includes Nvidia RX chips and a 128-line Lidar sensor, signifying a significant leap in safety and autonomous driving capabilities. Originally, Hozon Auto planned to integrate Lidar into its vehicles by 2025, but its inclusion in the Neta S Wagon indicates an accelerated timeline.

The powertrain of the Neta S Wagon is equally impressive. The EREV variant is powered by a 1.5-liter DAM 15 naturally aspirated petrol engine from Harbin Dongan Auto Engine, a subsidiary of Changan. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Neta S Wagon offers an electric-only range of 125 to 185 km, depending on the battery configuration. However, Neta officials claim that the vehicle can achieve up to 300 km in electric mode, with a total mixed range of 1,200 km when combining both electric and gasoline power, making it a practical choice for long-distance travel.
Looking ahead, Hozon Auto plans to introduce an all-electric version of the Neta S Wagon, expanding consumer options. This BEV variant will offer two powertrain configurations: a single electric motor on the rear axle producing 200 kW (268 horsepower) and a more powerful all-wheel-drive version with a combined output of 370 kW (496 horsepower). For now, only the EREV variant is available for reservation.
In terms of pricing, the Neta S EREV Wagon starts at 175,000 Yuan ($24,500). The pricing structure for the various trim levels is as follows: Rev 300 Standard at 175,900 Yuan ($24,500), Rev 300 Pro at 189,900 Yuan ($26,450), and Rev 300 Max at 209,900 Yuan ($29,250). A more affordable variant with a smaller LFP battery pack is expected to be revealed later this month, with a starting price around 150,000 Yuan ($20,900).
The first deliveries of the Neta S Wagon are scheduled for September, marking a significant milestone in Neta’s ambitious expansion strategy.
