Nissan has sparked excitement in the urban electric car market with the unveiling of the Silence S04 nanocar. This ultra-compact vehicle, measuring just 2.28 meters in length and weighing a mere 450 kg, is set to make a big impact despite its small size. Unveiled on the streets of Paris, the Silence S04 promises to transform city driving when it launches in European markets this summer.
Developed in collaboration with Spanish firm ACCIONA, Nissan’s Silence S04 is designed to be as stylish as it is compact. With dimensions of 2.28 meters in length, 1.29 meters in width, and 1.59 meters in height, this sleek two-seater is sure to turn heads. Despite its small footprint, it’s packed with modern features, including a digital instrument cluster, power windows, and an audio system. For added comfort, options like air conditioning and ABS are available.
The Silence S04 will be available in two variants. The more powerful L7e model, priced at €15,669, features a 30-horsepower motor capable of reaching speeds of up to 85 km/h with a range of 149 km. It comes with two removable 5.6 kW batteries, making charging as easy as plugging in an electric scooter.
For those seeking a more budget-friendly option, Nissan plans to release the L6e variant. While it offers a slightly lower top speed of 45 km/h, it boasts an impressive range of 175 km, making it Nissan’s most affordable electric car yet. This variant positions itself as a direct competitor to the Citroën Ami, offering urban drivers a stylish and efficient alternative.
