Last year, GLBO Z Bikes introduced the Orion, a purely electric four-wheeled bike equipped with a solar panel that boasted a range of nearly 100 km. Now, the Greek company has unveiled its sister model, the Isos, designed to meet professional transportation needs and potentially serve private or state organizations.
Key Features and Advantages
The Isos cargo eBike is a compact and flexible vehicle, ideal for navigating city streets and easily finding parking. It caters to those who see bike-based transport systems as a viable investment for contributing to climate change mitigation.
This four-wheel electric bike, weighing 175 kg, has compact dimensions: 267 cm in length, 154 cm in height, and 94 cm in width. The rear truck measures 107 cm in length, 80 cm in width, and 20 cm in height, allowing it to carry up to 180 kg. The mid-drive electric motor, with a power of 250 watts, provides immediate response and sufficient torque for carrying heavy loads intended for professional use.
Efficient and Eco-friendly
The Isos is powered by a dual 48-volt, 20Ah battery located beside the driver’s seat, offering a range of up to 50 km under ideal conditions. To extend this range, a solar panel can be installed on the roof or sides, recharging the battery on the move and potentially doubling the range to 100 km. The batteries are removable and can be charged at any standard power outlet.
The eBike also features pedals, allowing it to be used like a regular bicycle, and adheres to current legislation with a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The driver’s cabin includes an adjustable ergonomic seat and handlebars, with functions such as brake handling and a display for necessary information. The Isos is equipped with four disc brakes and essential front and rear lights for safe night driving.
Applications and Benefits
The Isos cargo eBike offers numerous advantages:
- Environmental Benefits: Emission-free, silent operation, and many recyclable components.
- Financial Benefits: Minimal transportation costs, no road taxes, and low maintenance expenses.
This electric vehicle can excel in several areas:
- Last Mile Goods Transport: Ideal for distribution companies.
- Food Distribution: Effective for food delivery services.
- Industrial Facilities: Useful for transporting goods within large facilities.
- Municipal Services: Suitable for waste collection and disposal.
- Advertising and Marketing: Can serve as a mobile advertisement.

Challenges and Future Prospects
While the Isos cargo eBike offers significant benefits, it has some limitations, such as its 250-watt motor’s performance on steep inclines and its top speed of 25 km/h. Future models might address these issues with more powerful motors and higher speeds.
